Built from green oak and blue lias stone, a material used by many of the older houses in the village, the house has been lime rendered to make it sympathetic to its local surroundings. Underfloor heating is powered by a geo-thermal ground source heat pump which uses the heat naturally found in the soil surrounding the house. Filtered rain water is harvested from the roof areas of the house. Meaning flood gate, Flodeyate achieves a real mix of old and new.
